  7. 1 medium onion roughly chopped
  8. 1 tsp ginger paste
  9. 1 tsp garlic paste
  10. 1/2 tsp radhuni (wild celery)and cumin seeds for tempering
  11. 1.5 tsp radhuni paste
  12. 5-6 cloves garlic minced
  13. 3 tbsp coriander chopped
  14. 3-4 green chillies
  15. 4 tbsp mustard oil

Instructions to make to make Radhuni Rui

  1. Marinate fish with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 th tsp turmeric for 10 minutes. Meanwhile lightly dry roast the celery seeds and dry grind. Add 1 tbsp chopped coriander,1 green chili to the ground radhuni powder. Add 2-3 tbsp water and grind to a smooth paste. Make a paste of onion and ginger garlic paste.
  2. Parboil sliced potato. Heat mustard oil and fry the marinated fish till golden brown. Also, fry the potato and set it aside. In the remaining oil, sprinkle minced garlic and fry till light brown. Add celery and cumin seeds for tempering.
  3. When the tempering splutters, add the onion,ginger-garlic paste. Also add turmeric, red chili powder, tomato puree, salt, and a pinch of sugar to taste. Fry till oil leaves sides. Add the fish, slit green chilies, and potato, and toss. Add 2 cups water and boil till fish and potatoes are done. Add radhuni paste and boil. Adjust gravy according to need.
  4. Boil a few minutes till the gravy is thick.Sprinkle garam masala and toss.Serve hot for lunch or dinner with steamed rice.
